Homecoming 2013

We all got lucky on Homecoming Week, for Saturday, November 2, proved a beautiful day, if a bit chilly as folks gathered for the parade.

As usual, my week kept me more than a little busy:  Boo Bash, Jake Bartlett's Recital, and the 50-Year Alumni festivities, among other things--including Blake Lofing's Senior Recital on Sunday afternoon.

I enjoyed the Saturday morning a great deal, my 20th year of announcing the Homecoming Parade; thanks to Rich and Cloe for their much-appreciated help.

After the game, I headed to campus for the annual post-parade festivities on the richly fall-colored quad.  There families, friends, and visitors enjoyed the beautiful weather and the tasty food.

Depleted by illness and unavoidable absences, students in the Hoyt Street Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dean Pat Fortney punctuated the fun with their upbeat music.

I uploaded two separate packages of photographs.

Part One features the Parade and the Party, and Part Two offers images from the game and from the crowing of this year's
Homecoming King and Queen--with many photographs of the entire court of 2013.

While the outcome (21-14)  of the thrilling game against Missouri Valley did not favor the Bobcats (7-2), an impressive crowd gave the football players loud and enthusiastic support at Pioneer Stadium in Nebraska City.

The PSC Bobcats had opportunities to win this game, and we all wish them good fortune next week against Evangel (in Nebraska City) and at Baker to close the regular season.
