Blake Lofing Senior Music Recital

Blake Lofing, tenor,  and David Norris, piano

At 7:00 in the evening on Sunday at 3:00 in the Fine Arts Recital Hall, Blake Lofing delivered wonderfully good performance as part of his degree requirements for his Music Major at Peru State College.

I thoroughly enjoyed the recital and took some photographs and video to share with everyone.

The collected images include the pleasant and plentiful reception after the recital.

Congratulations to David Norris for his fine piano play and to Blake Lofing for an excellent job, a recital we will not soon forget.  And a warm thanks to Dan and Elaine Hanson who regularly attend events across campus, something students and the rest of the campus community recognize as special.

As the following picture underscores, David and Blake enjoy a strong fan base.

I recorded four of the pieces Blake sang.  In this first recording, Blake sings two numbers by Francesco Paoli Tosti:  "Vorrei morire" and "L'ultima canzone":

And in the second, and much shorter recording, Blake offers his final two songs from  Louis Gruenberg's Animals and Insects:

1. The Lion and 5. The Mysterious Cat
