Irish Fiddle at Peru State

 

Last Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Fine Arts Recital Hall, a special guest talked about the Irish Fiddle with Ken Meints' World Music Class.  

I dropped by and took a few photographs and videoed a few examples of the music.

Claudia Rowen played a variety of fiddle pieces for the class and talked about the instrument and its history.

Claudia Rowen, from Omaha, is  a violin teacher and plays regularly in several Irish and Bluegrass fiddle bands.
