On Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the College Theater, the Concert Choir and the Concert Band entertained with the final major concerts of the spring term.
And both groups performed with vim and vigor.
As usual, you can enjoy a slide show from the exciting performances.
The PSC Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Tom Ediger took the stage first. I will post the names of the three pieces uploaded for your pleasure on You tube and the name of our friend from Argentina at the piano.
After the Concert Choir entertained, the Concert Band took the stage.
Dr. Ken Meints conducted the band for an elegant piece and then introduced PSC student Taylor Sirman, who conducted the band for the premier of his composition, "Dragonfly," which you can enjoy on You Tube:
After Taylor Sirman's delightful piece, Dr. Pat Fortney took the stage to conduct the band's performance of a beautiful work, "The Twelfth Night."
And for a fun switch, I left the balcony and joined the Concert Band on the stage to talk a few minutes about Shakespeare's comedy by the same name.
I recorded most of this complex piece of
work that the band executed in a wonderfully impressive manner, a great way to conclude an afternoon of song, dance and music.
